Dress for Success Indianapolis is excited to bring Stepping Out in Style 2020 to your home! We have put together some of our top 10 tips to help you host your own Stepping Out in Style watch party.
Leading up to the event
- Invite friends and family to watch Stepping Out in Style 2020 virtually, either at a watch party or on their own. Encourage them to RSVP for the free event here. Also, ask them to invite 10 people in their own social circles to RSVP to watch the event. This is a great way to spread the word!
- Make things interesting by setting a theme for your guests. Whether they’re gathering with you or watching from different locations, decide if they should dress up as if going to a gala or dress comfy. Or perhaps, dress casual with their favorite pumps! Get creative! Themes make great photo opportunities!
- Designate an area where your guests can watch the event comfortably. Also, make sure your Wi-Fi is working, to avoid any technical issues.
- Put a welcome sign on your door or balloons on your mailbox so guests know they’re at the right place.
- Ask your guests to visit indydfs.org to learn about Dress for Success Indianapolis and its impact over its 20-year history.
Now let the fashion and fundraising begin!
- Signing on to watch is easy! The link will be provided on Oct. 1 to everyone who RSVP’d. Just click and watch!
- Encourage guests to post about the event on social media throughout the evening using hashtags: #SOIS2020 and #indyDFS.
- Check out the Stepping Out in Style program. You’ll find the agenda and information on speakers,
models, designers, boutiques, stores and much more. It also includes a style guide, for a detailed look at the outfits and where they can be purchased. The program will be on the website on Oct. 2. - Sign in on time for the Diamond Dig and Reception! A mixologist from Hotel Tango will demonstrate how to make the signature drink for the event. And you don’t want to miss the exciting Diamond Dig!
- Diamond Dig winners will be announced the night of the event!
- All winners will receive an email from Dress for Success Indianapolis notifying them of their win.
- If you are a winner, pick up your prize at Aronstam Jewelers.
- ALL PRIZES MUST BE PICKED UP BEFORE NOV. 1, 2020.
