Donation Notice

PLEASE READ: We are accepting all in-season donations but have a critical need for the following items

  • Business clothing (we have an increased need of sizes 14-30) on hangers
  • Dress shoes sizes 5-7 (including half sizes)
  • NEW scrubs
  • Handbags
  • African American hair products

What to Donate

We accept professional women’s clothing YOU would wear to a job interview today. Your professional apparel can help change another woman’s life.

  • The items we are accepting include:
  • Professional heels and flats
  • Professional blouses
  • Structured dresses
  • Professional jackets
  • Scrubs
  • Steel Toe Boots
  • Jeans without rips, holes, and distressing
  • Cardigans
  • Professional skirts and pants
  • Items in sizes 14 and up are high need
  • Purses
  • Maternity Clothing

Focusing on these essential items will allow our team to maintain safety while continuing to meet our clients’ changing needs. All items MUST be clean and on hangers as we are a ready-to-wear boutique. We will not accept ANY items folded in boxes or bags!

Thank you for your continued support and for following these guidelines to help keep our staff and volunteers safe and healthy.

PLEASE NOTE:  Many of our clients go directly to an interview, so please ensure that all items donated are ready for immediate use: on hangers, freshly dry-cleaned/laundered and ironed, not more than 5-years-old, and suitable for wearing to job interviews.

When and Where to Donate at the Boutique

Donations are accepted on Monday and Wednesday from 10 AM-2 PM, and Friday 9:30 AM – 12 PM.

Please bring donations to the garage door located at the rear of the building on the northside. Ring the bell and we will then come out and retrieve your donation. The agency is located at 820 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46204.

We do not accept donations at the front door.

Where to Donate in Your Community

Classic Cleaners locations serve as important drop-off points for women’s suits and blouses. Donations can be delivered to all Classic Cleaners locations during their business hours. Due to space constraints, Classic Cleaners will only accept pantsuits, skirt suits, and blouses.
Please note: Classic Cleaners does not clean the donations dropped off at their locations. 

All other professional attire, as well as jewelry, purses, shoes, and hosiery, should be donated during scheduled Clothing Collection times at Dress for Success Indianapolis.
