We own two saddlebred horses: Leo, a liver chestnut gelding, and Luna, a beautiful mare with lots of personality.

Best career advice you ever received?
I was told a long time ago, always be mindful of those whom you step on – on your way up the ladder, because you may just meet them on your way down.
Who is your hero?
Most definitely my Dad. He has been my rock, my motivator, my greatest critic and cheerleader – all rolled into one. As a scientist, he never stops learning. As a healthcare provider, he never stops caring. As a teacher, he never stops instructing. If I can live my life half as well as he has, then I have lived a full life.
