Char Dunlap is a Financial Representative who helps families and small business owners meet their short and long-term financial goals. She also works with real estate agents for FC Tucker on the weekends.
Prior to becoming a financial representative, Char worked for years as an Advisor Marketing Rep for Capital Group which helped lead her to her current role as she enjoyed educating financial advisors on mutual fund products and small business retirement plans. Other prior roles include working in the Health and Benefits industry where she obtained her Life and Health license in 2010. Char has also worked in accounting, as an executive admin assistant, and as a paralegal supporting personal injury and family law attorneys. She has an AAS in legal studies from Ivy Tech Community College, CompTIA+ Project Management Certification, and a BS in Business Management from Western Governors University.
Char is married and mother to seven fun-filled children. When she is not working, Char enjoys listening to jazz, swimming, traveling, and spending time with her family and children.

Don’t dummy yourself down so that others in the room can be comfortable.

The most daring thing I’ve done was get myself and my children out of an abusive relationship.
Why is giving back important to you:
It’s part of my southern upbringing that we give to others. When we were young my parents would fix dinner plates for our older neighbors and my brother and I would take them to them. My father made sure we understood that it was our responsibility to look out for others and help where we saw a need.

My passion is helping others because I know what it’s like to feel like you have nowhere to turn.

Before I buy anything, I get one of my daughter’s opinions first. As I said, I like all things old so
