We’re excited to welcome Harrison College as our Suits for Success sponsor for 2014. Since the program’s launch in 2000, over 10,000 women have participated in this unique program. When a woman has an interview scheduled, she is referred to the Suits for Success program by one of our nearly 90 partner community agencies. At her appointment, our women are matched with a volunteer personal shopper who helps them pick out an entire interview ensemble (suit, shoes, jewelry, hosiery, etc.) and provide an invaluable confidence boost right before their big day. Women can also come back to the Suits for Success program for whatever attire they need for work (business casual, scrubs, non-skid shoes and work pants, etc.). Removing the barrier of clothing appropriate for interviews and work while celebrating new opportunities is a hallmark of this program. This collaboration illustrates Harrison College’s commitment to our women and or organization through planned opportunities for employees to volunteer, sponsorship of our annual Send One Suit – Week suit drive and also provides essential funds that guarantee our services are available to the women of our city.
