Q & A
“Elevate” is this year’s theme. What does elevate mean to you, and how are you living it out right now?
To me “Elevate” means the pursuit of excellence. Living that out means looking for those opportunities to improve your skills, knowledge on a topic, develop more meaningful relationships, and always buying quality with thought for design.
Describe a moment when you stepped into a new level of confidence or growth?
When I realized I could not control everything! Ha!
More seriously….each decade/life transition has brought a new level of both confidence and growth due to years of putting in the work. While our culture place such a high value on youth/beauty (and… all that wonderful collegian), the real value should be placed on the wisdom gained through life experiences that provide confidence.
What empowerment advice would you give a woman who’s ready to take her next step?
Just start! Don’t let perfection paralysis take hold!
Explain what motivates or grounds you when life or work feels challenging?
Prayer.
