Q & A
“Elevate” is this year’s theme. What does elevate mean to you, and how are you living it out right now?
Be open to growth and elevation. Advancement requires adaptability as expectations, skills, and environments evolve. Embrace opportunities that push you, and don’t shy away from calculated risks—missteps are often the moments that refine leadership and perspective. Build relationships with intention and ones that will hold you accountable. Elevation is sustained through passion, persistence, and humility. Most importantly, extend patience and grace to yourself and to those around you as you grow into greater responsibility. True elevation—professionally, personally, and spiritually—happens over time. It is earned, not rushed.
Describe a moment when you stepped into a new level of confidence or growth?
Confidence and growth didn’t happen during one specific moment—it showed up over time. I have found my voice, and whether it is used in a meeting or a decision that has carried weight, I don’t second guess myself anymore. I stand firm in my decisions, and I no longer wait for validation. I have started to show up in life with more intention, setting clearer boundaries, and stepping up a level—not because everything suddenly became easy, but because I stopped questioning myself.
What empowerment advice would you give a woman who’s ready to take her next step?
Be clear in setting boundaries and know how to stand firm in protecting goals and values. Know yourself and feel comfortable with who you are and what you have to offer. Celebrate successes and uplift those around you to reach their own goals. Mentor and be mentored. Build a network! Your network of advocates provides strength and inspiration for continued celebration of your success in personal and professional ways—even when you’re not in the room. So, know who you are. Write down your goals and values. Invest in yourself daily, celebrate every win, no matter how small it may be, and then share that with another woman.
Explain what motivates or grounds you when life or work feels challenging?
As a single mom navigating the corporate world, there are days when life feels heavy and overwhelming. What grounds me is remembering that I am building something bigger than myself—something that truly matters. I stay motivated by small wins, sometimes very small wins—like the days when progress simply means I put on pants and kept going. Those moments still count. They restore momentum and quietly prove that forward is forward, no matter how small the step. I’ve learned that I don’t have to carry everything alone. When I lean into the trust, strength, and support of the community I’ve built, I find clarity, confidence, and the courage to move forward—one imperfect, meaningful step at a time.
Tell us about any unique skills, talents, or interesting hobbies.
You will find me chasing a little adventure, whether that’s being outside, catching a concert, or making memories with friends. I have a creative side too—I love designing jewelry art. I’m all about good energy, meaningful connections, and finding joy in the big moments and the everyday ones. Life is meant to be enjoyed—I’ll say yes at least once to most things.
