Interesting fact?
I LOVE cars. I have a rare 1991 Nissan Figaro that is right-hand drive and was only made in Japan. I enjoy taking it to car shows and sharing her history. I also have a Lotus Elise sports car which I love to drive. It has a manual transmission which you don’t see on cars much these days. She is a blast especially on roundabouts!
Favorite vacation spot?
Italy and France. Hopefully I will get to visit there again someday.
Favorite book?
The Count of Monte Cristo is the book I go back to time and time again.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A Marine Biologist who studies dolphins. Doesn’t every kid?
If you could shadow one person for a day, who would it be and why?
Jane Pauley. She has always been my work idol. She blazed trails in the broadcast world as a woman. And is still at it when most broadcasters are forced to retire, especially women.
Advice for women to live their best life?
I would say to live the life YOU want to live not the life others think you should have. It’s very important to stay true to yourself. No one knows what it’s like in your shoes. Stand tall and own whatever it is that makes you shine.
How do you unwind and take care of yourself?
I am big on exercising and try to eat right most of the time. I enjoy Pilates and I walk every day. I don’t wear headphones when I walk so I can tune into the world around me. I love nature and being out in it. That relaxes me more than anything. And of course the occasional glass of wine doesn’t hurt.
